Connectria is celebrating a milestone – 25 years in business!
Connectria was founded as a software development and infrastructure consulting firm by Richard Waidmann in 1996. We entered the Enterprise Hosting Market in 1998, expanded to over 100 customers by 2002, and over 500 customers by 2007. Connectria advanced our commitment to compliance in 2012 and then launched our managed Amazon Web Services (AWS) solution in 2013, achieving AWS Advanced Consulting Partner status less than a year later. In 2017, we launched our cloud management platform, TRiA, delivering everything needed to optimize spend, manage performance, and ensure continuous security and compliance of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
Through the addition of WSM International in 2019, Connectria has become a leader in cloud migration management as well as providing digital transformation and professional services for organizations of all sizes. Today, Connectria proudly serves over 1,000 customers across 35 countries.
“This year marks a momentous moment in the history of our company,” says Connectria VP & COO Rusty Putzler. “We look forward to the next 25 years and beyond!”
Connectria continues to grow and evolve, recognizing opportunities in expanding markets and investing in new technology. We help businesses realize their cloud vision with end-to-end hosting and managed services, from traditional enterprise technology, such as IBM, to public and private cloud environments. We are also the largest IBM i (AS/400) cloud provider and a recognized IBM business partner with demonstrated excellence driving business growth.
Connectria is a four-time IBM Beacon Award Winner as well as a 2020 IBM Business Unit Excellence Award recipient. Over our 25-year history, we have been fortunate enough to earn an extensive collection of other awards and accolades for services delivered to our customers as well as consecutive Best Place to Work in IT awards for how we value and reward our employees.
Connectria has grown into a team of more than 200 employees, 90 percent of which work in technical roles. With this growth, we invested support in our Customer Success Organization with the promotion of Karen Hockenberry to Vice President and Chief Customer Officer (CCO) in May of this year. Moreover, Connectria is also investing in our hybrid cloud offering while also fortifying our technical teams, hiring for both cloud engineering and IBM i engineering, to ensure we have the right technical talent to support the growing needs of our customers.
“25 years is quite an achievement. As we turn the corner into our 25th year, we are well positioned to continue helping customers increase their efficiency. Looking ahead to the next 25 years, our path sees more and more customers realizing the need for Connectria to help them migrate, manage, and modernize their workloads.” said Amar Patel, Connectria President & CEO.
