Union Pacific Technologies Selects Connectria To Provide Java-based Advanced Application Architecture

ST. LOUIS, MO (February 9, 1999) - Union Pacific Technologies, a division of Union Pacific Corporation, has selected Connectria to design an advanced Java-based application architecture, including a prototype application, as a web-enabled front-end to their mission critical mainframe-based Transportation Control System (TCS). The new application, called Graphical TCS, or GTCS, will allow Union Pacific Technologies' commercial TCS customers to utilize a graphical web interface to operate Union Pacific Technologies industry leading applications to manage transportation and logistics.
