Keeping Up with Connectria: 2015 Q3 Wrap Up

These past few months have been filled with a lot of exciting announcements and events. We’ve kept ourselves busy with VMWorld, Amazon re:Invent (where we announced our certification as an AWS Managed Service Provider), and internal events including a blood drive, tricycle race, and company picnic. We’re looking forward to successfully finishing out 2015 and continuing with all the fun!

Announcements & Conferences

BoothAt the end of August, our VP & COO attended VMWorld where he took in some great content for a customer testimonial video.  In early September, we achieved Managed Service Partner certification for Amazon Web Services. Our MSP status was officially announced during the week of Amazon re:Invent where we were recognized for this great achievement. We sent a team to the conference to learn about new offerings from AWS and meet with some customers and new friends. While there, we conducted a survey and learned that 2 out of 3 AWS customers are more likely to use an AWS MSP. Check out our Twitter and Facebook for all the pictures!

Connectria Blood Drive

In early August, our employees participated in a blood drive which benefits the Red Cross. All participants who donated blood or money to the Red Cross received a one-of-a-kind Connectria Blood Drive t-shirt. We had around 15 participants and are excited for the next blood drive!

Wheels of Thunder Tricycle Race

WoT6The first ever Wheels of Thunder Tricycle Race was held which benefits the St. Louis Alzheimer’s Association. Each race featured 2 participants and consisted of riding a lap around the parking lot. In order to participate or watch the race, employees were requested to donate a minimum of $5. Total contributions were $260! We had a blast and can’t wait until next year’s event.

Connectria Family Picnic

PicnicThis year was our 5th Annual Connectria Family Picnic during mid-September. The weather was perfect for all the planned activities including: magic show, carnival games, balloon animals, face painting, bingo, photo booth, BBQ, sno cones, and more. We enjoyed meeting everyone’s families and getting out of the office for some fun. We look forward to continuing the tradition for years to come.

National Preparedness Month

September was National Preparedness Month, a month dedicated to preparing for natural disasters. We provided our own take and recommended tips focused on disaster recovery and other data disasters using #NatlPrepTech. We took this time to share our disaster recovery expertise and giving insight into data disasters, DR planning, and DR myths. Be on the lookout for #CyberAware tips throughout October regarding National Cybersecurity Awareness Month!
