Connectria Selected by Lotus to Provide Internet Distance Learning and Collaboration

>ST. LOUIS, MO (Nov 3, 1999) - Connectria today announced that it has been awarded a contract by Lotus Development Corp. to provide full-service application hosting of Lotus' software platforms, including Lotus' new LearningSpace Anytime 3.0 and Lotus QuickPlace offerings which enable distance learning and collaboration via the Internet for both academic institutions and corporations.

"Lotus has been a significant partner and client of ours for some time," said Richard Waidmann, president and CEO of Connectria, "and we're pleased that we've won the confidence of Lotus to host its highly visible distance learning and instant groupware applications in our world-class, Internet data center facilities. Not only does this system's operation showcase Lotus' new LearningSpace Anytime 3.0, QuickPlace and high profile Lotus demonstration sites, but also our capabilities as an Applications Service Provider (ASP)."

"We chose Connectria to host our Lotus Domino academic demo systems as well as host a range of extranet sites to collaborate with key customers and partners. The strength of Connectria's technical skills and facilities allow us to outsource the running of these applications and focus on what we do best - write and market industry-leading software," commented Mitch Cousineau, business development manager for Lotus Academic Marketing.

As part of the contract, Connectria will provide all computer hardware, Internet bandwidth, facilities, engineering services, and 24x7 support necessary to maintain Lotus' LearningSpace Anytime 3.0 and QuickPlace applications and databases that will be available to Lotus' clients via the Internet.
