Sabreliner Reduces IT Costs by More Than 50%

sabrelinerSabreliner is perhaps best known as the original equipment manufacturer of the military and private Sabreliner jets that were manufactured through 1981. The corporation has been privately owned since 1983, when a group of investors purchased the business and all assets of the Sabreliner Division of Rockwell International.

Since that time the company has steadily grown, both by diversification and by acquisition, and it now has annual revenues in excess of $240 million and an employee base of approximately 1400 people at seven facilities in the central United States.

In October of 2001, Sabreliner approached Connectria about outsourcing their IT infrastructure and facilities. Sabreliner had previously outsourced their operations to another IT outsourcing firm with mixed results.

After several weeks of engineering and analysis, Connectria implemented an operating model that leveraged Connectria's staff and facilities with those of Sabreliner.

Today, Connectria performs remote monitoring of Sabreliner's network, onsite facilities management of Sabreliner's IT infrastructure, disaster recovery services, and managed hosting of Sabreliner's server platforms including their IBM System i (iSeries-AS/400) platforms.

The result: Connectria has helped Sabreliner reduce its IT expenses by more than 50%.
