Lakeshore Technical College (LTC) is one of the 16 colleges in the Wisconsin Technical College System, offering more than 50 programs awarding two-year associate degrees, one- and two-year technical diplomas and short-term technical certificates. LTC also offers a variety of distance learning opportunities and is the major provider of customized training and technical assistance to the Lakeshore’s business and industry community.

When you're a mid-size IT support organization like Lakeshore, you can't afford to have a highly-skilled (and high priced) staff member in every technology you manage. Nor can you afford a backup to each of your staff members. That's why LTC turned to Connectria to build and support their business-critical Lotus Domino email and application environment. This environment provides an advanced online communications and collaboration environment to more than 5,000 LTC students, faculty and staff.

To support LTC, Connectria implemented its MyAdmin™ Lotus Remote Administration service to manage the college's Lotus environment from Connectria's world-class Network Operations Center (NOC) 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. As part of this engagement, Connectria also implemented a clustered Lotus Domino environment running on Microsoft Windows servers located in both Connectria’s data centers and replicated in LTC’s facilities. Connectria manages all of these systems from its 24/7 Network Operation Centers.

Connectria supports every major IT infrastructure technology, including Lotus technologies, with at least 2 people in every technology skill set. Our highly automated systems management environment allows Connectria to provide 24/7 IT infrastructure support for less cost than hiring a single individual.

The result: LTC is able to operate a critical IT environment without onsite staff members for a lower cost than if they did it in house. They no longer have to worry about hiring, training or losing critical IT support staff.
