IBM WebSphere based customer portal for Hawaiian Telcom. Hawaiian Telcom's portal was designed and developed by Ascendant Technology to include a "my Yahoo for the Islands" type of feel, with links to Hawaiian Telcom services, content feeds, and core services such as email and blogs. Connectria will provide
fully managed hosting services for this environment as well as on-demand bandwidth as Hawaiian Telcom's user community grows. Connectria's hosting infrastructure for Hawaiian Telcom consists of two
servers running Microsoft Windows 2003 and
IBM WebSphere Portal, one
web server running Microsoft Windows with IIS, and a separate
database server running Microsoft Windows and IBM DB2. Connectria's managed hosting solution was designed to enable Hawaiian Telcom to easily expand its hosting infrastructure as they expand their service offerings and integrate new content and applications into their customer portal.
