PECO Energy Selects Connectria To Provide Data Center Services
ST. LOUIS, MO (September 15, 1998) - PECO Energy (PECO) has selected Connectria to design, implement and
manage a sophisticated distributed computing environment at PECO's corporate offices in Philadelphia, PA, to support their
newly deregulated subsidiary, Exelon Energy.
Connectria will provide PECO with
onsite server environment management consisting of over twenty
IBM AIX and
Microsoft
Windows based servers from IBM running
Oracle, BEA Tuxedo and
Lotus Domino among other applications. All of these systems
will be attached to a centralized storage network utilizing Network Appliance storage and Cisco networking technologies.
Connectria will provide full 24/7 operational support of these systems to enable PECO to enter the deregulated energy
marketplace in Pennsylvania and other Northeastern states.
