IBM Global Services Taps Connectria As Subcontractor To Provide Managed Hosting Services
ST. LOUIS, MO (May 1, 2000) - IBM has selected Connectria, a St. Louis and Philadelphia-based Hosting
Provider and Lotus Advanced Business Partner, to provide
Lotus application hosting for key IBM Clients. Connectria provides
Lotus hosting
services for Lotus product including Lotus Notes, Domino, LearningSpace, Sametime, QuickPlace and Lotus' new Pathware
product which Lotus acquired from Macromedia Corporation.
According to Richard S. Waidmann, Connectria's president and CEO, "Connectria can bring applications to users with faster speed
and lower cost -advantages that are important on critical projects. Because our teams have adeptly installed these applications
time and time again at both client locations and at our data centers, we can take a new user from ground zero to
'up and running' in record time." Waidmann added, "Typically when installing an unfamiliar application you can expect a
team to move very cautiously because human beings have to overcome a natural amount of inertia when they do something for the
first time; there's often false starts and a steep learning curve. Hosting delivery lets you circumvent these issues."
