Transentric was formed in June of 2000 out of the commercial operations of the former Union Pacific Technologies (UP Tech) with a 20-year legacy of technology deployment to carriers and their customers.

Transentric is an application service provider (ASP), an Internet-enabled value added network (i-VAN), and an outsourced business services provider that delivers IT-based services to manage transportation, logistics, and commerce in complex, global, mixed-mode supply chains.

As part of its spin off from Union Pacific, Transentric needed a completely separate enterprise-class technology infrastructure on a limited budget in less than 120 days. After many years of working together on numerous projects, Transentric turned to Connectria.

Connectria helped Transentric replicate its current infrastructure by leveraging Connectria's enterprise-class systems and facilities to provide Transentric with redundant data centers, 24/7 IT operations support, and a highly scaleable and reliable environment.

The result: Transentric was able to afford an enterprise IT infrastructure on a departmental budget and successfully grow its business even during difficult economic times.
