AS/400 (iSeries) Remote Administration & Monitoring
To manage our customer's AS/400 (iSeries) systems, Connectria's world-class 24/7 Network Operations Center utilizes Operations Navigator's Management Central with a custom implementation of CA Unicenter as its enterprise systems management and production support environment. This includes a customized web-based portal that will be created for each client. This portal provides customers a view into their systems using data meaningful to them.
Connectria also utilizes a comprehensive trouble ticketing and change management system. Not only can incidents and change requests be entered manually by Connectria personnel or customers, but this system also provides automated input including email input. Connectria's customers can easily request changes, ask questions or log incidents using a simple, straight-forward approach.
Through Connectria's advanced AS/400 (iSeries) Administration & Monitoring Services, Connectria's engineers can remotely perform 99% of the server management functions an engineer can provide onsite, except for those few activities that require a human being to physically touch the machine. In those cases, we utilize our client's staff or staff from one of our many partners to assist us.

Hardware and Operating System Services:
- System Administration - Configure, manage, and monitor system level services. Configure and manage OS/400 level security. Create and maintain file systems and directory structures. Create, modify, and remove user accounts on the AS/400 (iSeries) servers. Management of remote server access as required. Provide administration support as needed for application software installations and upgrades.
- Capacity Planning - Perform proactive system level capacity planning and performance tuning as required
- Hardware Maintenance - Remotely troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems 24/7. Coordination with IBM for of hardware & Operating System maintenance and repairs for critical events 24/7.
- Firmware Upgrades - Perform proactive hardware and firmware upgrades as required.
- Patch Management - Apply patches, Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs), and new versions as necessary for the operating system.
- 24/7 Operational Support - Troubleshooting, escalation, and resolution of hardware and O/S problems 24/7 including access to trouble ticketing system.
Monitoring Services:
- Server Monitoring - 24/7 monitoring of all AS/400 (iSeries) platforms and OS/400 operating systems for errors and alerts.
- Application Monitoring - 24/7 monitoring of client's applications and processes as directed by client and as agreed upon by Connectria. (Custom engineering charges may apply).
- Automated Alert System - Paging and e-mail notification of alerts to pre-determined escalation contacts by monitoring system.
- Customer Portal - Client access to a secure web accessible portal that provides reporting and monitoring information for the hosted systems.
Tape Backup Services:
- Daily Tape Backups - Manage system level backup & recovery procedures. Perform daily incremental and weekly full backups to tape or to client specifications.
