AS/400 (iSeries) Disaster Recovery

Connectria delivers a wide range of proven Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to enable businesses to protect their IBM iSeries (AS/400) environments from catastrophic loss. Connectria's iSeries (AS/400) DR solutions include:




Platinum DR Service: Zero Downtime Application Recovery Target
Connectria's Platinum Service gives organizations continuous availability with a recovery-time objective of zero. Connectria's Platinum Service uses dedicated Managed iSeries (AS400) servers or Connectria's iSeries (AS/400) Subscription Service using shared iSeries (AS/400) servers located in Connectria data center(s) that are configured in a high availability environment with the customer's production server(s). The production server(s) can be located in the customer's data center or another Connectria data center. Data is synchronized in real-time (or near real-time) between the customer's production system(s) and Connectria's high-availability server(s) using replication products like MIMIX®, iTera® or Vision Suite®. The customer's network environment must be engineered to allow for a load-balanced environment with automatic failover between the two sites.
 
Gold DR Service: 15-Minute to 12-Hour Application Recovery Target
Connectria's Gold Service provides hot-standby IBM iSeries (AS/400) servers that are either dedicated Managed iSeries (AS400) servers or it utilizes Connectria's iSeries (AS/400) Subscription Service using shared iSeries (AS/400) servers hosted at Connectria's data center(s) that are configured in a failover environment with the customer's production server(s). Data is synchronized periodically between the customer's production system(s) and Connectria's hot-standby server(s) on a replication schedule determined by the customer's recovery target and network environment. Depending on the network environment and data replication schedule, customers can engineer anywhere from a 15-minute to 12-hour recovery period. Data replication is provided by using MIMIX®, iTera® or Vision Suite® replication software. The customer's network environment must be engineered to allow for failover between the two environments. Connectria will outline the technology options and costs upon the completion of the initial assessment.
 
Silver DR Service: 24-36 Hour Application Recovery Target
Connectria's Silver Service provides either dedicated Managed iSeries (AS400) servers or it utilizes Connectria's iSeries (AS/400) Subscription Service using shared iSeries (AS/400) servers hosted at Connectria's data center(s) that are pre-installed and implemented according to the customer's specifications on a warm stand-by basis. In the event a disaster is declared, the customer's backup tapes containing the most current copy of their applications and data would be delivered to the Connectria data center to be restored on the customer's assigned or dedicated servers to the point in time of the latest full or incremental backup. The customer's network and/or its users will be cut over to Connectria's network in order to access the Connectria hosted server(s).
 
Bronze DR Service: 48-72 Hour Application Recovery Target
Connectria's Bronze Service provides the customer with compatible IBM iSeries (AS/400) servers targeted to be available at Connectria's data center(s) the following business day following the declaration of a disaster. Connectria will install and implement the servers to the customer's specifications upon their delivery to Connectria. The customer's backup tapes containing the most current copy of their applications and data would then be delivered to the Connectria data center to be restored to the point in time of the latest full or incremental backup. The customer's network and/or its users will be cut over to Connectria's network in order to access the Connectria hosted server(s).
