Connectria Announces Hosting and Remote Management Services for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino Running on IBM iSeries Systems
ORLANDO, FL, Lotusphere (January 23, 2006) - Connectria, a leader in IT infrastructure outsourcing services and former 3-time Lotus Award winner, announces enhanced managed hosting and remote monitoring services for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino running on the IBM iSeries system. Connectria continues to strategically align its award-winning Lotus Domino hosting offerings with IBM's iSeries system (and its AS/400 predecessor) to provide customers with the stability and efficiency attained by iSeries. Connectria will be exhibiting at Booth 628 at the Lotusphere 2006 Product Showcase.
Connectria hosts Lotus Domino environments on various server platforms including Windows, Linux, iSeries and others - but continues to see significant benefits for clients who run Lotus Domino on an iSeries system. Running Lotus Domino on iSeries servers brings advantages in consolidation, greater manageability, increased energy efficiency and lower operating costs. Compared to other platforms, a key strength of iSeries system is its ability to deliver consistent response time for multiple Lotus Domino applications running simultaneously. Connectria's Lotus Domino on iSeries solutions can be hosted on a dedicated iSeries server or LPAR. Using the LPAR system architecture approach can bring great cost reductions as it allows a single iSeries system to be divided into several completely independent virtual servers or logical partitions. With partitioning on the iSeries, companies can safely run multiple instances of Lotus Domino along with non-Domino applications on the same server.
"Connectria has extensive experience managing Lotus Domino and iSeries environments, and has anticipated the growing use of the iSeries platform due to its unmatched stability. In an effort to meet our customers' needs for highly available and scalable environments, we have expanded our services to encompass hosting and remote monitoring of Lotus Domino applications on the iSeries platform," said Richard Waidmann, CEO of Connectria.
