Connectria Opens New 10,000 Square Foot World-class Data Center To Continue Its Substantial Growth
ST. LOUIS, MO (January 2, 2006) - Connectria Corporation is pleased to announce the opening of DC-4, our new 10,000 sq. ft. world-class raised floor data center in St. Louis, Missouri to accommodate our rapid growth in Managed Hosting and IT infrastructure outsourcing services. Connectria's new DC-4 data center facility adds approximately 10,000 square feet of world-class, raised-floor data center space and was built to exacting standards for reliability and security.
Connectria's DC-4 features include redundant power feeds from two separate power grids from Ameren Electric, redundant Power Distribution Units (PDUs), redundant UPS battery-backup systems, redundant Liebert HVAC units, full generator backup for the entire facility, secured access via biometric security access and identity logging, and a state-of-the-art fire suppression system among many other features. DC-4 is located in St. Louis' Bandwidth Exchange Buildings, the region's preeminent "carrier hotel" for telecom carriers and hosting providers. Over two dozen telecom carriers have points of presence in these buildings, with over 1,000 strands of diverse fiber into the buildings.
In addition to Connectria's data center in Philadelphia, PA, (DC-3) Connectria's new DC-4 data center will be less than five miles apart from Connectria's existing data centers (DC-1 & DC2) also located in St. Louis. This will allow Connectria to provide managed hosting and IT outsourcing solutions for clients that require real-time synchronous data replication and server load-balancing across multiple data centers. With the addition of DC-4, Connectria firmly positions itself to be the continued leader in sophisticated managed hosting and IT infrastructure outsourcing with a strong focus on data replication, high availability, and robust security.
"Our significant growth in the past several years has come from the addition of many new clients that needed highly customized hosting and outsourcing solutions at cost-effective prices. We've doubled the number of servers that we host and manage to over 1,000 servers within the last 18 months, and we expect to do so again over the next 18 months," said Rich Waidmann, Connectria's President and CEO. "We've also gained a large percentage of contracts from our many existing customers who have trusted Connectria to host or outsource additional components of their IT infrastructure to us. Our current backlog is very strong and we anticipate substantial continued growth as we expand our service offerings and support capabilities," he added.
